The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX and therefore have the right to be called world champions.
It was their second Super Bowl championship in the past eight seasons, and it is a testament to the rosters Howie Roseman, their general manager who has played a large role in their front office for many years, has put together.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys, one of the Eagles’ longtime NFC East rivals, are licking their wounds after going 7-10 this season and trying to figure out how to return to respectability.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott gave the Eagles credit for winning it all but also claimed that his team isn’t that far behind.
“I feel like we’ve competed with the Eagles and beat them for the most part when we’ve played them,” Prescott said, via Todd Archer of ESPN. “I don’t want to say, ‘Check the record,’ when the other guy is holding the trophy, right. So credit to them.”

Contrary to what Prescott said, the Cowboys did not do well against the Eagles this season.
In Week 10, the Cowboys lost 34-6, and in Week 17, they were defeated 41-7. It should be noted that Prescott did not play in either game after suffering a season-ending injury.
With Prescott in the 2023 season, Dallas did defeat Philadelphia by 20 points in Week 14 after losing to them by just five points in Week 9.
The Eagles’ defense struggled mightily last season, and they didn’t have Saquon Barkley, the star running back who proved to be a huge difference.
Dallas has lots of work to do to simply get back to the playoffs, so perhaps Prescott shouldn’t be talking about his team competing with the newly crowned Super Bowl champions.
