Dan Orlovsky Expects Big Change With Matt LaFleur This Season

There is a lot of pressure on Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur this season, especially after recently trading for Dallas Cowboys superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons to round out what many believe should be a Super Bowl-contending roster.

As much of an impact as Parsons should have, the offense still has a lot of kinks to work out, but analyst Dan Orlovsky recently said he expects a big change with LaFleur following the Parsons trade.

During a Friday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Orlovsky said that he believes the addition of Parsons will make LaFleur more aggressive on offense.

Orlovsky praised the Packers for their depth, particularly in the wide receiver room, where the team has a number of young weapons, including first-round pick Matthew Golden, who has reportedly been highly impressive throughout camp.

Christian Watson is still working his way back from a torn ACL, while Jayden Reed, Dontavion Wicks, and fellow rookie Savion Williams are dealing with minor injuries as well, so it could take a little while for the offense to establish some sort of consistency and a hierarchy in the receiver room.

As Orlovsky mentioned, a lot of this season depends on the health of quarterback Jordan Love, who was hurt in the season opener in Brazil last year and didn’t always look right even after returning to play.

As long as Love is healthy and the receivers can continue to build chemistry with him, this could be an explosive offense capable of leading the team to a Super Bowl.
