Three Mannings have found great success in the National Football League.
You can’t talk about football history without bringing up that last name.
That’s why it makes sense that everybody wants to get a piece of the next in line.
That’s also why it might take much more than a disappointing college start to make NFL teams write him off.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, teams were unmoved and unbothered by Arch Manning‘s shaky game for Texas against Ohio State.
If anything, they like him even more.
Talking on the “Maggie and Perloff” show, the insider said NFL teams have been “drooling over him” and have done so much scouting that this isn’t going to mean much.
“I don’t get the sense that people around the league are out on Arch Manning. In fact, it’s the other way around,” Russini said.

Truth be told, that is likely the best way to look at this.
Manning was making his third college start, and he was on the road against the defending national champions.
Also, it seemed like the Texas staff was holding him back early in the game, and the training wheels should come off soon.
Manning has all the tools to be a worthy NFL successor to uncles Peyton Manning and Eli Manning and grandfather Archie Manning.
However, it’s also worth noting that Arch Manning isn’t certain to enter the 2026 NFL Draft.
So, even though his stock may not plummet, teams may have to wait a little longer before he gets that opportunity.
