Insider Reveals Surprising ‘Competition’ Between NFL Owners

The Super Bowl is not only the biggest event of the year in the NFL, but it is also the biggest event in American sports.

It is routinely the highest-rated television show of the year, and plenty of people who don’t care that much about the game will tune in simply to watch the halftime show or get a look at the commercials.

Figures across the league have arrived for the big game, and those people aren’t limited to those associated with the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

One of them, Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, took his yacht to New Orleans, revealing a unique NFL battle of its own.

“If you’re looking for a competition NFL owners really care about, who’s got the biggest yacht is definitely one. And I’m not even kidding about that,” NFL insider Albert Breer wrote on X.

Sports team owners are among the wealthiest people in the United States, and many of them have multiple streams of income, not to mention the type of toys most men can only dream of having.

Khan, who is from Pakistan, made his fortune as the owner of Flex-N-Gate, a company that supplies major auto manufacturers with materials, and that allowed him to purchase the Jaguars in 2012.

During his time as owner, however, they haven’t done well. They have made the playoffs twice, and after reaching the divisional round in 2022, have failed to build on that success.

They have a very expensive young quarterback in Trevor Lawrence, and they will have the No. 5 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft as well as a good amount of salary cap space, so perhaps Khan can establish the foundation for success in an area other than his significant personal possessions.
