Andrea Petro, the Colombian president’s daughter has jumped into the brief diplomatic tension between her father and President Trump regarding deportations, proposing Colombia should send back an American sex tourist for every Colombian deported, reports The New York Post.
«For every Colombian deported we will return a gringo from the Poblado,» Andrea Petro, Colombian President Gustavo Petro‘s daughter, posted on X on Monday.
Her statement was accompanied by an image featuring dolphins leaping from the ocean beneath a rainbow-adorned sky.
The 33-year-old’s comment appeared to reference Medellin’s notorious district, which has become a destination for those seeking illicit services. Last year, authorities discovered a 36-year-old American in a hotel room with two girls aged 12 and 13.
The suspect departed Colombia before authorities could arrested him and President Petro requested his extradition from the United States.
Relations with Colombia became strained when Petro attempted to block US deportation flights, but he subsequently agreed after Trump threatened economic sanctions, including potential tariffs reaching 50%.
